Full Bio
I’m a recovering closeted artist.
Starting to take music lessons only in my late twenties, I never thought of myself as a creative person – let alone an artist. I was raised to believe that art as a way of living was only for the ones who could not succeed in the traditional way (namely, having a white-collar job).
I stayed away from the “artist” label for as long as I could and spent all my adult life chasing a career that – although enjoyable – was leading me to an increasingly anxious existence. The pandemic made me realize that music is the only thing that fills me with energy.
I’m wired for making art.
Deep into the pandemic, I quit my corporate job – a choice inspired not only by the need of a creative outlet, but especially by the life-long commitment my partner and I have made to adopt two daughters. I want my daughters to see their mother as someone who listen to her intuition, search for her true self, and chase her dreams regardless of how impossible they may seem.
I launched my first single – Falling – in the spring of 2022, and I’m currently working on recording an EP and touring the Pacific Northwest.
I’ve been uncloseted and there’s no way I’m getting back inside.
